It's a disgrace, plenty will tell you winning is all that counts. I remember the days when "sport" was about more than just that. He should be struggling to get into the South African team, not captaining England. We must be really desperate, were there no aussies available?

I never had more of a boring time at school than when I was fielding at cricket... Standing there on the outskirts of the playing area dodging the odd ball that people were screaming at me to "cccccccaaaaaaaaaatttttttch"... balls to that I might have hurt my hands.

Why people get enthused about people standing there watching other people throw a ball at some wood they are trying to defend with some more wood is a bit beyond me.

Not at all Woody.... I was all in for some footie and some rugger - quite good I was too. I didn't quite see the fun in standing at stumps with the school clogger running towards me and aiming the ball at my head rather than the wicket.

Me and cricket never quite hit it off in that respect.
