I s'pose some might argue that Carrick should play ahead of Hargo as they do each week. Definitely not in this game for me, Hargo's pace, drive, aggression and energy are gonna be very important in this game.

I'm a big Carrick fan, I think he's a terrific footballer despite his start to the season this term but for the reason's you've just stated Hargreaves will almost always get the nod from me. Pace is the operative word really, not just in terms of his running but the urgency he injects into the game with his passing/tackling etc will be pivotal Sunday methinks.

We'll do 'em this weekend no diggity.

He'll be fine, always plays better in the bigger games fort me. Excellent against chelsea for example. Also, it aint like the dippers have any decent wingers.

Was poor against Roma but apart from that he's been as sound as anyone defensively this season.

his performances over the last 5 years? I rate him but he is the weak link in that back four for me. Still he has played well this term so am not overly worried.

Probably from the own goal against Deportivo (?) and the own goal that never was against Leeds still.
