Just read that.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Chew-sea will have Mikel, Carvalho etc all playing on Saturday?

It wouldn't surprise me.

I'll just be happy if Carvalho is missing.

It's big loss for them at the back and also takes Essien out the midfield.

If Essien plays in the midfield alongside Lampard and another then I think we'll need Fletcher in there to compensate.

Without Essien and Mikel in the middle I think we can afford to play 4-4-2 and not run the risk of isolating Rooney.

We miss Park and Saha.

I wanted that @#%&! to play. Imagine him watching us lift the Cup for a double after entertaining all season.

Mikel would of probably been sent off if he played

I agree with the person who said Carvalho missing is a bonus. It means Essien has to drop back into central defence, and without Mikel in there it means either Diarra or Makelele will start. Thats a bigger loss than people think.

I guess it is, yeah.

But I think you know what I mean.

As the season has worn on I think it's become clear that if we come up against a side with three quality central midfielders then Scholes and Carrick need a little help.

Would like to see him do a Gazza on Gary Charles.
Make a rash challenge, miss, and practically end his own career.

I'd imagine Fletcher will start anyway. Saha isn't fit and Smith and Ole aren't particularly devastating up front.

He seems to be improving.

His passing is more accurate. He's tackling harder and playing with new found confidence.

Nice ball to Rooney in the first half on the right of the area where the Roo took too long over it and the chance went.

Also seem to remember a very good tracking back last ditch kind of challenge towards the end.
He did that at Chelsea too.

I might even go far as to say he's worthy of a place in the side at the moment.

His passing is still incredibly erratic and dreadful at times. He does seem a bit stronger and has been good enough for the squad and to get in the team recently. He still lacks stamina, Fergie won't play him twice a week, which is worrying at his age. He is worth his place currently considering what he allows others to do and the lack of options. Good luck to him though, he's worked hard this last few weeks and deserves credit for that.
