Default The Official Derby week build up thread.

The richest club in the world versus the greatest club in the world. This fine city plays host to both clubs. Whilst one is a constant source of entertainment the other is a constant source of amusement.

This week should throw up some blue nosed belters as their quest for global domination continues by trying to be the best in their own back yard.

Banter at work, evidence of media out bursts. Sparky's amazing quotes. Anything.

put it in here.

or dont

i'm not arsed.

This is true but that's no reason to over look the potential comedy gold served up by the minted minnows , is it?

Cant wait already - hardly even thinking about the Champions League.

I hope our lot put in some 'firm' challenges.

Looking forward to this & nervous as £#%&! in equal measure...

There's a chance Tevez, Robinho & Adebayor could be out ...but I expect only Robinho will be missing.

If we play like we did yesterday we'll £#%&!ing cane them.

Wazza's got a great record in the derby....& against Shay Given

He's on fire at the minute, I just hop all the players are really up for it, and it's about time that a city player got his marching orders as well!

That Arsenal result will give them false confidence. I only saw highlights, but everyone who saw it has told me that at 1-1 Arse were absolutely murdering them and they ended up taking a lucky 2-1 lead before getting two more on the break as the Bummers threw everyone forward. A win's a win of course, but the scoreline seemed very flattering.

But, it being city, you don't get level-headed analysis - you get 'we're in the top four', 'we're going to win the Massive Universe Cup' etc.

Arsenal were the better team at 2-1 down. I think they probably created more chances than Citeh, just didn't take em. They were more than a little lucky with the opener as well
