Great day, very well deserved win. Never felt threatened by the City pressure but actually the times we sprung forward looked promising practically each time. Bruno if he got a goal would have been cited as one of the most iconic captain's performance in a final. He was everywhere. Mainoo is a gem and it is scary to think how much better he can be. He already plays like a seasoned pro in his positioning but his technique and quick footwork are so good that he can draw in world class players and turn away. How long did it take for Bellingham to be uniformly called world class?

Watching other people seethe about United should be in the life's little pleasures thread.

A guy I work with is a close friend of his dad so I've been living that trip for a while, since he came into the team. The lad is amazing.

indeed. despite the ref giving them a lot and despite city having decent chances and plenty of decent possession. they just didn't have it today. and, whilst our first goal came from a defensive error, our second was worthy of winning any cup. graceless pep.

and we won't get our trophy taken away.

That was a proper day out. Early start. Borrowed a drive in Stanmore. Turkish breakfast in Kilburn. A few songs on the pavement. A team putting effort in. Sneaky way into the tube station avoiding Wembley Way. Relatively easy drive back up and here by 10. Glass of wine before taking the hound out for a last walk.

Must do it again soon.

And a new superstition. Stop at Toddington services on the way down.
