Soft spot for Wales and I wanted them to qualify, but they deserved that for the way the manager set them up.

What’s impressed me about this WC is the quality of some of the lesser teams. Years ago there was lots of cannon fodder in the groups but even the poor teams seem to be well drilled and working to a game plan.

It’s been good entertainment so far.
