Any team can lose a difficult away cup tie after playing away in the san siro 3 £#%&!ing days ago. We were poor, some very bad individual performances, but £#%&!ing hell lads, I've seen better United sides lose worse cup ties than that.

Everybody - literally - has bad games once in a while. It does not, by itself, make them bad players.

Hard to have a good game at centre back when you're protection is Fred and Matic.

It wasn't his best game, but he wasn't shit by any stretch of the imagination.

Tactically, you can argue it's Ole's fault, but it cannot be his fault that professional footballers cannot pass to a player in the same colour shirt who isn't under pressure.
Fred’s pass , matic takes forever to turn and The Scottish Player not marking his man. 2 of those are big individual errors and the matic one he is just dog shite. He had to rotate the squad and bring in matic and VDB because we played something like 7 games in 4 weeks. In any one of those games if we didn’t play full strength we would have lost/drew.

How much for Fofana?
Tbf, Fofana was 18 when we bought Maguire. Hardly what we were looking for.

Tielemans really £#%&!s me off. 3 chances to get him, he was affordable and he wanted to come. Shambolic. He transforms our team imo.

This team and squad has its limits. We know this. We’re not equipped mentally, physically or in terms of trustworthy players to challenge on 3 front on such a crazy schedule. A fully realised team struggles to do that, never mind the work in progress that we are.

Look at the last couple of weeks. We’ve seen the best and worst of us:

Capable of beating city
Dogged against West Ham
Sloppy and failing to see it out against Milan at home
Worked hard and won well away in Milan
Shite and lazy today

And all those games could have gone either way, Strangely barring city. We’re a team of fine margins.

I don’t have an issue with the changes and he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. When we play the same team and players, we’re accusing him of running them into the ground. To compete on this schedule, we have to rotate. The changes aren’t the problem, but how we approach games, our errors and players disappearing is a feature of the whole squad.

We should be able to make changes. We need to. Leicester did, they have their own problems too, but their players deputising stepped up.

I’m not going to start getting into individuals because it’s a squad issue and this performance could have come from any combination of our squad.

This is just where we are now.

As much as we have plenty to play for, football desperately needs this season to be over, give these players some rest and we need to get to work on improving our squad and how set up for games.

Yep.

Tielemans for 30m (?)

Absolute bargain

Fofana would have been a top signing for us too.

Aye.

He was poor but we just allowed Leicester to attack our two CB’s all game

Crazy it wasn’t sorted out and allowed to continue all game.

Hope the likes of Dave, Martial and Pogba are wanted by clubs like PSG and cash in on all three

Use the money to wisely instead of chasing players just for their ‘names’

Obviously that won’t happen and we’ll probably sign Walter Samuel on a two year 250k a week contract.

Yeah, the variation is key. It seems we have a lot of players who are ok if they have other players around them, or they’re making up for other players.

Matic, The Scottish Player and Fred all need some else with other qualities around them.

We still don’t know where or how to play Pogba, VDB, Rashford and Greenwood.

We have a big decision to make regarding the goalkeeper.

There’s a lot to sort out and more problems than solutions have presented themselves this season.

Awful performance
Got exactly what we deserved

You can say the changes were the reason but in all honesty we see these sloppy clueless performances too often
Usually we have a 15 or 20 minutes period and that allows us to get away with it

The lack of options for the man on the ball and then the decision making by the man on the ball is truly staggering at times

The midfield is a huge issue as is our attack which is dreadful at the moment

Let’s hope we have a strong 2nd place finish and a Europa League win but for me there are more questions than answers with this team atm

No question that we need some good additions in the summer.

If anything, the present squad has over-performed this campaign - making the determination of some to blame our manager all the more baffling.

My biggest concern with the Europa is that we turn up and do what we did today. On paper, we are favourites and there’s nobody to worry about. But this is a team that can turn in a Sheffield United home defeat at any moment, with no sign of it coming. Do that in a cup and you’re done, no matter how easy the draw.

Leicester are coping very well with their injuries too and 2nd is no gimme with them and Chelsea right now. Leicester going out the Europa did us no favours. They wouldn’t have been turning that in today if they were travelling back from £#%&!ing Transylvania on Friday morning this week.

I'd like to see a forward line that keeps Greenwood on the bench for a lot of games. We need some power at 9 and Greenwood is still learning.

If we had 2 good defensive midfielders it would free up Pogba if he stays.
