Bit @#%&!ish to betray Phelan's confidence like that. It would be reasonable to assume they must be fairly close if Phelan is discussing things like that with him, but he is happy enough to make him look like an eejit and undermine his position somewhat, by spreading it all over the shop -"....c'mere lads, guess what Phelan told me the other day....they're a shambles, alright - ha-ha..."
