Going to be a £#%&!ing disaster I’m sure. Better than Ed calling all the shots but Rio isn’t going to bring this club into the 21st century. He seemed in awe of Ajax’s structure as if it was from Mars and not 50 odd years old.

The stream I was on last night (yank) were also bleathering on about Dutch football changing after the international team had hit the wall.

Poor lad is still recovering from Ederson being able to kick a ball in a straight line to a teammate 20 yards away.

The absolute 180 in this country on that is amazing.

A couple of years ago playing out from the back, especially using the goalkeeper, was just foreign arrogance.

Guardiola and City start and suddenly everyone bloody loves it. A needed step but the fawning over Pep brought it.

Unfortunately it's taken foreign managers to drag English football into modern times. Allardyce and Hughes weren't going to do it.

Yup, hard to shake the feeling that this is as much a cover for Woodward/Glazers as it is some long-term plan to get us back to the top.

Agree that’s what the role will be though, it’s probably why no proper dof wants to come here.
You'd think we'd want to implement changes to the infrastructure sooner rather than later too considering how much we are teetering on the edge of total decline, but these DoF stories have been doing the rounds for ages now with no real end in sight. Will be very interesting to see the type of player we sign in the summer if someone has been appointed. We will probably be able to deduce from that whether or not Woodward is still handling transfers/being a completely out of his depth moron.
