Default Which United defeat gutted you the most?

For any reason...

Liverpool 92
West Ham 95
Dortmund 97
Porto 03
Arsenal 05
Barca 09

The list could go on and on. Anyway which result, regardless of importance, pissed you off?

Properly random one, but losing 2-1 at Arsenal when Henry and van Perise scored really late on, was absolutely £#%&!ing fuming

You've listed a fair few of the main ones...

There's almost too many to mention in the last 6 years. So many £#%&!ing awful results against really poor teams that just upped their game and we refused to compete.

I guess off the top of my head you'd have to say the City 6-2 game. An absolutely horrendous result that gifted city a once-in-a-generation scoreline at our own ground, thanks mainly to some of the most appalling defending in the last 15 mins i've ever witnessed.

There's also the 4-4 game against Everton at home which effectively gave city the league that season.

On a more recent note The FA cup semi final last season was £#%&!ing pathetic as well.

That's so strange, that was the first game I thought of too.

Around 2008? Henry later header to win it?

Barca 94?
Newcastle 96
Blackburn 02
Arsenal cup final
Blackburn 06
09 CL final (really thought we’d be the first to win back to back since the change in format )
City 6-1
Any Liverpool defeat but especially both Moyes ones

Apart from all the obvious ones like European Finals, Anfield 92,

- Madrid 2-1 in Fergies last season, gutted and infuriated me in equal measure. Other stinging European defeats were Porto, Leverkusen and Dortmund as we were good enough to win all of those CLs.

- The city game on the Munich anniversary

- the arsenal 2005 cup final.

It didn’t sting anything like the others but the Swansea 2-1 in van Gaals first game punctured all the post Moyes optimism like a pin in a balloon. It’s arguably never recovered.

Can we have draws that felt like a defeat because Anfield 99 still make me fuuuuume.

Two of the biggest bullshit decisions ever to rob us of that one and then Ince

It gets lost because it all ended happily ever after, but My God that one stung at the time.

Yep. Felt it has gone that night. In the worst possible circumstances. Felt like 1992 all over again.

Cheers Leeds

city was 6-1

Cup semi last season is not even in my top (bottom?) 50 tbh.

The absolute worst feeling for me after a United match was after a match we won. Sunderland 2012, and it’s not even close.

It was, still hurts 18 years on.

But strictly speaking, not a defeat.

For me, nothing will ever top Anfield in 1992. But some of the real old bastards on here might be looking back to 1974.......

That’s the one. Don’t know why that in particular, just stuck with me.

Smashed my phone against the wall, partially in error, during the 2-2 in Leverkusen, think Wes Brown gave the ball away stupidly when we chasing the winner, i jumped up and hurled my phone at the bed in anger and missed, Motorola flip smashed cleanly in half against the wall
