Angry Off the rails!

Another outrageous hike in rail prices to line the pockets of the senior executives and fat cats.

Is it time for re-nationalisation? I think it is.

The 28% pay rise for the drivers whose concerns about safety evaporated when moolah was placed on the table has been passed on to passengers and then some.

But, yes. The system is a corporate scam.

"the agreement means there will be a second, safety-trained person on every train except in "exceptional circumstances", such as a member of staff calling in sick just before a shift or being taken ill during work.

He said: "That person will have all the relevant safety competence, including the skills to evacuate passengers in an emergency.

"The agreement gives our drivers the security of a five-year pay deal, which covers the October 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 pay settlements, through to the end of the franchise. "

Where has selling off public utilities got us?

Water, gas and electric, transport and the postal services etc, etc, they all serve corporate rather than public interests now.

Yep blame the workers.

Germany's nationalised railways have 9 union members on their board and their prices are significantly cheaper

You really are turning into a class traitor

It had no effect on the rise in regulated rail fares. They are set using a formula created by the government and are determined by inflation.

Can confirm Irk owns a train set, unmanned.

Regular crashes. He just sits there while the carriage melts.
