Default Net Neutrality and how big american companies are going to ruin the internet for everyone

Take a look at this shit.

Won't be long now before the internet as we know it is totally dead, replaced by whatever it is that Amazon and Google want you to look at. Pretty much the death of any small businesses, any small websites and your internet package being broken up into bite sized chunks that will work out a fuck load more expensive. Your phone contract will probably go the same way too.

This is going through congress now where they're trying to repeal net neutrality. The ISP's and big companies all want rid of it so they can basically screw us.

Theresa May's wet dream this, the fucking cunt.

The Internet is the last bastion of freedom & as ever, we fuck it up because people don't understand it & governments decry it's openness as a security risk.

The legislation that says the internet is a neutral space that favours no one company or website.

You pay one price to access everything, at the same speed for each site. You can access this page as easily as you can access Amazon for instance.

To throw that out basically leaves the internet as we know it dead. It'll be carved up by the huge providers and websites and they'll feed it to you in bitesized chunks that you'll have to pay to access.

imagine ...

5 a month for email
5 a month to play games online
5 a month to have messaging
5 a month for nextflix or youtube

etc etc

How much do you pay for your broadband subscription now?

20 a month? 40 a month?

Basically, that is a one off, you get to access everything... you're online, do as you please - don't get your ISIS on etc, obviously, but ultimately it's all there for you.

This version means the internet is broken down into segments, and you'll be paying for what you subscribe to based on categorisations that are defined by government & the likes of Google / Microsoft / Facebook / Amazon etc. Once they have the ability to know exactly what you do, every single time you go online, because it's neatly segregated, you'll be paying ten times the amount & they'll know you like to watch dog porn & will probably send targeted ads to you for diamante collars & the like.

And then subscriptions on top of that.

Greedy Capitalist fucking bastards.

They want to charge us as much as possible for any little pleasure life has to offer.
