Default Everest and other killer mountains

Have become a bit obsessed with this bad boy recently. Obviously, Iím never going to go anywhere near it but the people that do

Something like 1:4 deaths in proportion to people that make it.

Have been reading a lot about the 1996 disaster albeit havenít seen the film.

The bottleneck.

Random almost incoherent statements.

Into thin air is a really good book if you haven't already read it.

Totally reckon I could do it but felt very weird when I was at 10,000 feet at gornergrat. Proper head f*** above 8,000 m - the death zone.

Funny you should say slice of luck because itís a lot down to that. Canít see how you can justify it with a family and kids tbh. Bit of a weird one.

Know some lads that attempted it the hard way as part of an army team, never made it, but no deaths.....

Isn't part of it a bit of a tourist trap these days? Heard it's packed in some bits.

Heart would be scalded if you were blowing out your arse hanging on for dear life only to take a corner to see a line of spanish tourists talking shite like it's a day at Disney world.

K 2 is a much harder mountain to climb. Everest has become a bit of a joke TBH.
