Different financial era for the club though, he simply did not have access to this level of spending, not just on transfer fees but wages.

People on here blaming moyes for the state of our squad.

Don't get me wrong, he didn't help but we're currently in the process of turning round a generation of shit @#%&!s.

The spending argument is a bit weak too. we had less but we still managed to spend a sizeable amount on utter benners. And part of the reason we're spending big now is because of the transfer failings of that era.

Btw, he can still be a great manager but get things wrong. Latterly he did.

Or as Hirohito once said with similar understatement, "the war has developed in a direction not necessarily to Japan's advantage"
