don't get me wrong we were right to bin Keane when we did and we are better without him....but we are gonna need one hard bastard to replace Ferguson on the sad day he eventually goes and Keane's start to his managerial career has been sensational

let's see how he does next year in the Premiership right enough

lads calm down

Keane has the right character for it but he hasn't even had one whole season yet. It would be another few years as a prem manager before he's even considered.

that'll be the real test for him and his existing squad,
he'd need to buy to improve and survive otherwise I can see them struggle.

Get back under your rock, no one is saying sack fergie and get keane in next week. But I will tell you want I am saying, Fergie is brilliant, but when he does retire in say another 5 or so years or what ever it will be Keane is the only person, he will have just enough experience and how the fans will react to him will make up for the rest. So get on that.

I seem to remember another United captain and hard as nails central midfielder pissing that division in his first season. What's he up to now?

He's taken what appeared to be certain relegation candidates at the bottom of their division to top of what is probably the toughest, most competitive league in English football in less than one season. I don't think that's ever been done before, has it?

keane has done a super job.
playing in a hard division he has assembled a team which has the balance between experianced pros and up and coming youngsters.

the sunderland team also has a united spine to it.

yorke upfront/midfield

liam miller midfield.

simpson and evans are also regulars.

if they have abit of money to spend and but a few of our cast offs they will stay in the premiership next season.
