Default Finney on the wing RIP

Former Preston and England winger Sir Tom Finney has died at the age of 91.
Finney made more than 400 league appearances for Preston North End between 1946 and 1960 and won 76 caps for England.

Sad day for football.

I lived in Preston for a bit and the guy was like god there. True football legend.

Famously, a plumber but also drove a tank in ww2.

And noted for his humility.

Don't like playing the modern footballer card. ...but let's go over that again.....A great player who was a plumber and drove a bloody tank in the £#%&!ing war!

My grandad(rip) used to see hm and Sir Stanley Mattews regular at the station going down south for an england match. Them days are looooong gone!
