Default Frank Lampard is better than Paul Scholes

according to this phlegmy murdering Oddbod headed scouse @#%&!

And naturally Gerrard is better than both.

Quote:
He is one of only a few players to perfect the Cristiano Ronaldo free-kick, striking the ball with his laces. He has only perfected that in the last couple of years, so it shows that even at 35 you can keep on improving.

I have always said Steven Gerrard was born world class, whereas Frank became world class. That is not a slight. It should serve as an inspiration. He has had to contend with some knocks down the years but he kept bettering himself. His mental strength is one of his greatest assets.

Frank has a catalogue of golden moments and, for that reason, I have him behind Steven but ahead of Paul Scholes in my list of the Premier League’s top three English midfielders.

I know Barcelona’s Xavi described Scholes as the best midfielder of the last 20 years but Frank has influenced more big games — his goals clinched Chelsea’s first title in 2005, he has won them an FA Cup final and scored in a Champions League final.

He has also played more and scored more for England, and his tally of 166 Premier League goals — the highest by a midfielder — outstrips the 107 Scholes scored.

That just smacks of him wanting to do an article praising lampard but couldn't possibly be seen to be putting him above his bezzie mate crinklecut head the dj basher. The scholes thing is just put in there to get attention and appear controversial and knowledgable.

Goals

Only in Britain is a central midfielder judged on his goal scoring record

Judge a striker on his goal scoring record but a midfielder?
Xavi and Iniesta would look shit in comparison to Lampard if that was the case

Besides if you take out penalties then Scholes and Lampard's Premier League goal scoring records are about the same

If playing for England is so important how does he rate himself, especially retiring early from international football because he was getting called up to bench warm every international(if lucky). Like his opinion really matters anyway. I'd rather hear the opinion of a world class player in the same position than say... A jug eared squily scouse @#%&!.
The reality is that Paul scholes is recognised as one of the best ever midfielders by balon d'or winners, regardless of his international career. that vermin @#%&! is trying to be controversial to kickstart his career in being an unclear @#%&! of a pundit.

When it comes to opinions on central midfielders, Carragher > Zidane, Xavi, Keane, Veron. Iniesta, Charlton, Socrates, Davids etc. Deal with it, as they say.

Did anyone really expect a Liverpool legend to come out and say that Scholes is better than Gerrard?

Why do we need his opinion? Scholes is only beaten by Sir Bobby as the greatest ever English player.

The Champions League is back: Five things to look out for
1 SAMI HYYPIA — My old central defensive partner has made a great start to his managerial career with Bayer Leverkusen and hopefully he will continue that when he travels to Old Trafford on Tuesday! I always felt that Sami, a keen student of the game, would go on to become a manager.
2 NAPOLI — They may have sold Edinson Cavani in the summer but Napoli have spent big since the Uruguay forward departed and have also acquired a Champions League-winning manager in Rafa Benitez. It looks like they are going for it and will pose a danger to Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal

not sure about Keegan but you left out the player Charlton was measured against more than any other during his career: Tom Finney.

It's been fairly obvious for a while that you're a Bert/bindipper, but you've just confirmed it.

Keegan.

If England would have used him properly and built a team that played to his strength rather than to appease the press and idiots there's a good chance they may have made a decent showing in an International Tournament.

Left £#%&!ing wing in order to play them two @#%&!s together ffs.
