I can see it being Rooney for some reason.

There's no obvious choice in the current squad. Not a fan of Evra as capt, and other than Vidic and Ferdinand there's no-one really.

The question throws me back 20 years to Uniteds greatest ever team, most of those players would be a shoo-in for Captain now if they were still playing (and weren't 39).

Would Love Rafael to be captain, need someone Long term.

Possibly go to Van Persie for a year maybe, then Rafael. Though Fergie has said himself, he's never been a fan of striker captains, Which makes me think Rooney is Unlikely, even though him being Captain would see him Raise his game even more.

Vidic is only Club captain because Rio's back was £#%&!ed when Fergie needed someone to have it on a long (ish) term basis.
Rio should be our Captain imo

Rooney deserves it if & when Vidic is no longer in possession of the armband.
He's scored the best part of 200 goals for United ffs
