Football transfers aside, what are you hoping to see from united next season?

winning trophies goes without saying, obviously, but what else?

i want to see

faith placed in welbeck and cleverley and consistent places in the first 11 for them
rafael consistently picked as first-choice right back
proper game time for petrucci and some of the other youngsters (cole in particular)
us not sitting back when we're in the lead

Smalling paired with Vidic as the first choice centrebacks.

The samurai and the brand in centre mid

less reliance on Scholes and Giggs.

Some game time for Berbie, perhaps against the lesser teams, to give the primary strike force a rest.

If Fryers hasn't left, more opportunities for him at LB

- actually trying to win the big games away from home.
- an end to tombola team selections round christmas.
- a settled position for Phil Jones.
- Anderson stuck in the reserves.

A return to the United way please. Performance before result. Get a good enough squad and the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Pressing from back to front. Get away from the passive, dropping off to the box tactic and let the the young group of defenders use their aggression and energy to stop attacks from building.

A less rigid attacking set up, wide men encouraged to come off the wing and do more than smash crosses in, Rooney taking on less playmaking responsibilities, Nani to be more central to the play.

The least likely hope to come through is Anderson to have a full season fit without disruptions and for him to finally make a career at Utd. Hopefully he turns up in good shape eager to get going in pre season

It's all linked to wanting us to be more 'United' again;

Have more balls in games, from Froggie and the team, stop worrying about the other team and show them what we're about.

We have been embarassing in most big away games for years, lets try and win them (as carlo said).

Some young lads given a chance. I genuinely believe people aren't as fussed if we won't win anything as long as we've played some decent football, had a go and tried to win games and given younger lads games.

Stop with the passive defending from midfield and defence, it's embarassing how a lot of our players just allow things to happen without reacting when they can see it is happening.

That is the spirit, good to see we are on the same page.

Not my intention to hijack the thread with Anderson squabbling

The usual will happen with Anderson he will report back to training play a couple of games at the start of the season then get a niggle, be out for a few weeks, lose his rhythm then either come back and get injured again or his injury will extend to 6 months before even coming back then he will be overweight again.

Repeat this the season after this coming season when we still can't afford a midfielder and froggie needs excuses not to buy.

Would like to see:
new ideas in style of play and formation. We won't be signing anyone but would be excited about it if the formation changed to 4231 proper (not 442 with rooney dropping back). Scholes/Cleverly and Carrick with Kagawa infront.

what we will see:
Scholes and carrick in the middle of a 442. Welbeck and rooney up front. Rooney stinking the place up by following the ball everywhere. kagawa tried upfront in a two, failing after we resort to long balls up front because scholes is tired and our midfield is wide open. kagawa then put out left. 90% of our chances coming via valencia.

Would. like to see us retain possesion in midfield without shutting ourseves when put under the slightest bit of pressure, would like to see an end of the negative shite we witnessed at times last season, would like to see ore of the youngsters and less of the likes of park.
