Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Adam Johnson (Manchester City), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Scott Parker (Tottenham Hotspur), Ashley Young (Manchester United), Theo Walcott (Arsenal).

Bloody good squad that although I would have liked to see Carrick in there too, despite Pearce clearly going for the younger ones.

You could put together an excellent, mainly young, team from that. Then ruin it by getting Stuart Pearce to tell 'em to lump it upfield all day.

Good team that, might put Richards at centre back and replace Gerard with jones, clear out all the old guard.

richards at cb would be a disaster tbh, he more effective at RB
