ffs

there's no way ferie's gonna put out a weakened squad like last time. not that i'd be arsed if we got anyone else from the championship as it's only the carling cup, but this is an old rivalry revisited (all the reds who claim not to care about leeds are either in denial or didn't start supporting us until about 2008) and as we unfortunately know we have some wrongs to right. we can't let those shit yorkshire bastards humiliate us again, can we?

they will step it up against us though, just like they did last time, and just like they did against arsenal, spurs and the vermin. then as usual the @#%&!s will let themselves get turned over by the likes of watford, barnsley and palace after putting in a "premier league level performance"

That's not entirely true. When I was a kid in the 80s, United just never played Leeds so I was hardly aware they existed. So when they were promoted in 1990, I didn't quite get the (what seemed to me at the time) sudden hatred for them. Of course, if I'd been around in the 70s I would have completely understood it.

To me they're just another Stoke - neandarthal morons who do aeroplane impressions and support an average-sized club.

you only needed to be around about 10 years ago when united and leeds were two of the best sides in the country, or in the early 90s when we were battling it out for the title. but yeah it does date back to the 60s and 70s. most of us consider liverpool and city to be more hatable but make no mistake, leeds are definitely up there too.

i guess living amongst the @#%&!s for 3 years at uni has helped stoke the fire of my hatred for them but our rivalry with them isn't one way like it is with stoke
