Default Just doing some life insurance applications at the moment.

Just trying to get a bit of research.

I wonder how many of you good people would not given the correct information / slightly deviate from the truth on the poll above.

What would be the reasons for doing so?

Ta very much.

Two words for you.

Tele underwriting.

Now it's no longer your problem.

You're welcome.

Not the personal touch with that mate, im old school.

I asked a life company today for some stats on the above as these are the questions i believe most people may be tempted to alter the truth.

On the smoking point, I'd suggest googling "posthumous cotinine test" and discourage anyone from lying about their habit.

Who do you use for your life stuff then, 'teds? I've done two Scot Prov apps this week and have an Aegon to do tomorrow...

I imagine most lie about alcohol consumption and drugs( if they have taken them), knock half a stone off their weight mainly for vanity reasons and tell the truth about smoking.

I use Scot Prov, Bright Grey, Aviva, and BUPA most at the moment. It all depends on the level of cover and costings.

Do you do all your clients policies in trust, i do every one in trust.

The amount of brokers who dont know how to fill out a trust application form is worrying mate.

Indeed, not worth trying to blag this. Weight can go up and down so that's ok. Booze you can blag, as long as you're not a proper ale can. Drugs, well no point admitting that.
