Captain hindsights AOTS......

it's happened here before and happens across football ..

"He's only played 703 minutes, could have got him for free"

Well we didn't and yes had a season long injury..

That's football.

? Why ?

Never been Mounts biggest fan, but an injury and him being bought instead of got on a free (be abuse that's always how signings go) doesn't seep Into my entire psyche as a means to bash the club again ..

It's a wonder some of you even claim to be united supporters anymore ...

"Oooo look I voted right on a poll"

He hasn't even played enough to be judged as a signing.....

Hardly hindsight if most people saying the same thing when we first bought him.

I don' think he's a bad player but the wrong player at the wrong time for the wrong fee. Brilliant piece of recruitment

I can’t let it go. Not after being told he’d be a failure at Arsenal.

Most people said he'd be injured all season ? Strange lie.....

He can't be judge because he hasn't actually payed football...

When he did play he scored ?

Weird fan base on here...

No, people said he wasn't the player we need and that he was overpriced and perhaps not even that good anyway. It's not difficult. He's been a waste of money. No question. Not quite the level of your favourite Antony, but still.

He hasn't played anywhere near enough minutes to be judged, due to a season long injury....

You can hold all those beliefs but this season has nothing to do with them ...

Please also try and stay in topic.

Absolutely bonkers signing. Forking over £60m to a premier league rival (who were desperate for cash) for a player who would be a free agent in about 4 weeks time.

Just absolutely crazy, regardless of how much he's been injured, which has just compounded a £#%&!ing stupid transfer, given approval by idiots at the club who have thankfully now gone.

the fact he got the no7 shirt just blows my £#%&!ing mind

Does anyone really give a shit about the 7 at this point? I think we're the only club that has this obsession about a number, but it's the man that gives the number significance, not the other way around.

Owen.

And forgot to put the Belfast Boy on the list. Mind you, you could do that for 8,9,10 and 11 too. Georgie was never fussed.

Not anymore. I think the whole ‘1-a billion’ squad numbers has changed it, but we were certainly blessed with a number of greats who wore it. Like everything else with the club, a long while ago now.

Unfortunaltely there are very few players who could justify 1-11 at the moment.

Sad state of affairs.
