Probably bitter but our two wins I've seen under Fergie were near perfect campaigns. We actually won the league title too. Whereas these two clubs can salvage a season with this tournament. Referee calls, dodgy breaks, preferrable draws, a good bounce. Real Madrid's win against Bayern reminded me of some of our exits. Bayern threw the kitchen sink at them yet Madrid get a rookie error to score. That's been Madrid's MO for the past three years - when they look under the cosh something happens that changes the tide. Hopefully they do it one more time but for a side to be three straight winners yet only once win their own league with it, that's not a team I rank as really special. |
