Overall, the series was excellent.

But the ending was weak.

And saying Starfleet is looking to develop a non human interface for the Spore Drive? The most revolutionary method of space travel since the warp drive, just put on the back burner?

They have to kill it because it wasn't in TNG, DS9 and most importantly Voyager. Voyager can't happen if the spore drive exists

Exactly. So how do they ‘wipe it from history’ then?

They discover it is unsafe for the galactic environment and the EU ban it.

just finished it this morning, its decent.

a little bit cringe in parts but for a reboot with obvious societal overtures it's quite good. I'm looking forward to the next season

My only gripe is why did they reboot the Klingon look yet again?
But yeah best tv in last couple years alongside GoT and Altered Carbon
