Manchester United announced a revenue of £141million today, following the publication of their latest financial results.

The revenue figure was up 17 per cent from the first quarter of the financial period, while United posted an operating profit of £15.2m.

Based on the latest figures released, United expect their overall revenue for the financial year to be between £575m and £585m.

Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman, said:, “We are just over a quarter of the way through what promises to be another exciting season. In the Champions League we have won all four games played to-date.

"We are through to the Quarter Final of the Carabao Cup; and are looking forward to the next few months as the number of matches ramps up.”

The figures relate to the period between July and September this year, and account for the summer signings of Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic, as well as the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

The club's debt now stands at £268.1million.
