José gets slated for it. Pep won't. Because it doesn't fit the narrative.

Pep is considered a pioneer, a revolutionary manager and yet he's still doing something 'Negative' to help his team rightly or wrongly
All fair points. But this is not a shock nor is the first time he has done this. His Bayern Munich team tried to go toe-to-toe and failed so what chance have this lot got??

Only two managers in world football give no regard to their opponents:

Shut up lads, it's only 1-0 and not even half time yet, plenty of time for them to spawn a goal and be awarded a Nobel Prize.

Suicidal backpass from Napoli... 1-2

Exactly, Pal.

They all do it. That's why I don't get the criticism that some managers get for doing it, while others don't.

Can easily see City getting something here. Barcelona don't look half the team they were 2 years ago

Because one of them manages Manchester United. That's all there is to it.

The subs have upset them a bit. As well they might, because there's no way they're keeping a clean sheet with this backline. They always look likely to concede at the best of times

Pressing them high and spreading the team out is having the desired effect of preventing them getting the ball moving and from dragging City about. It's bitty and lacking quality from both teams though, and Barca have been unsettled with the injuries.

£#%&!ing state of that defending again.

It s not the defence as such but going forward Barcelona look sluggish. Messi barely been in the game.

Just think the subs disrupted them a bit

Messi does look a bit off though no doubt.

Still opened them up at the end there though.

I'm sure they'll be patting themselves on the back for that half.

Can't wait for Enrique to say this is the best half of football he's ever faced.

got the impression macmanamanamac thinks messi is the best player in the world on the planet

not as bad as rio calling barca the best team in the world mind, what with them behind the european champions in their own league currently

poor quality game but otamendi looks a very good centre back again.
