Tackles won and tackles lost don't even mean what people think they do anyway.

A tackle lost just means that the tackle went to the opposition immediately after the tackle was made. As in, the player still won the ball, it just happened not to go to a team-mate.

Give a player a hospital pass on his wrong foot which sees him lose the ball in a dangerous area - successful pass.

Play a 40 yard ball in behind opposition defence that forces them to clear for a corner - unsuccessful pass.

Basically sometimes you just have to watch the games

Yea, agree with all that. Just the tackle won/lost thing is completely misunderstood by everyone who spouts it to make it meaningless, irrespective of context.

Yeah he's a little rough around the edges with some of his play but I can't think of anything he doesn't do to a high standard as a defender

Him & Blind have tougher tests ahead for sure but they've both been £#%&!ing superb in the opening month.
