It's complete %@#$&!s, basically.
Same for all stats really, they need context often.

Give a player a hospital pass on his wrong foot which sees him lose the ball in a dangerous area - successful pass.

Play a 40 yard ball in behind opposition defence that forces them to clear for a corner - unsuccessful pass.

Basically sometimes you just have to watch the games

Yea, agree with all that. Just the tackle won/lost thing is completely misunderstood by everyone who spouts it to make it meaningless, irrespective of context.

So far so good from him thus far, to think he's only 22 years old as well.

Don't see a way back in for Smalling atm. Blind deserves his place too.

Infectious style of play, hypes the crowd, must translate to the players, the type of character we lacked in the anodyne Van Gaal years.

Didn't Siders say this lad was as bad as Smalling on the ball in pre season

Yeah he's a little rough around the edges with some of his play but I can't think of anything he doesn't do to a high standard as a defender

What a signing

Attacks the ball like a £#%&!ing Tiger, if he can smooth the edges we could have a star here.

My favourite summer signing tbh...& I have a huge crush on all of them (in a manner of speaking)

Him & Blind have tougher tests ahead for sure but they've both been £#%&!ing superb in the opening month.

Thumbs up

Looks decent on the ball so far on top of his quality front foot defending.

Best signing of the summer thus far IMO.
