they were never going to win the league or do well in the CL.

the novelty is over - they would expect to get thumped in europe due to the quality of the teams and their lack of experience.

they would expect to do less well in the league because everyone will be wary of them and they will be more complacent and less motivated.

vardy signing a new contract means £#%&! all - may just adds more money to a transfer.

Vardy had his one and only chance of moving to a big club. His age and career up til now (non league/lower league player for most of his younger years) means there will always be an apprehension over how good he actually is. That one season will forever keep him a Leicester legend so he'll always have that when he finishes.

Mahrez's quality is his technical skill and if you look over discussion boards about him from the Pearson era, he was quite highly rated though playing for an unfashionable club meant he didn't get the attention, and end product wasn't there. Now he has taken his game to the next level. Kante's level of consistency and the way he plays gets attention because in an era where the art of defending is dying he is a standout performer. They have their best years ahead so would eventually get a bigger move.

Not sure he's as good as is being made out.

He obviously had a great season but can he do it every week for a big team? I'm not sure.

Kante was the one.

Leicester now have the money to replace whoever they sell (maybe not quite as good, but adequately) so those predicting relegation will likely be in for a disappointment.

Which suits me fine, given who remains the last club to go from heroes to zeroes in one season
