Only really in the last 2-3 months he has been able to find an attack with chemistry and balance for all their inconsistency. Created a lot of his own problems.
Or alternatively he'd been trying to persuade Welbeck to stay, while the cunt spent all summer angling for a move but only Arsenal would bite and they originally wanted a loan which obviously we weren't having, and Falcao was a last minute panic job. A shit one.

Our recruitment's been a fucking shambles for years, of course it's a stick to beat van Gaal with and I'll gladly play along but it won't necessarily change just by appointing someone else. Chelsea's recruiting last summer was somehow a clusterfuck even with everyone's wank fantasy on board, though apparently that couldn't happen with us.

Well one of the few things to be said in favour of our owners (especially compared to the likes of Abramovich) is that they don't interfere in that sort of stuff.

But Chelsea's recruitment is largely down to their DoF who apparently hates Jose. Mou wanted Stones and was pissed when they wouldn't pay up.

I guess it shows he really isn't against buying or playing young players eh?

Old squad, will have to make changes to play his style of football. Are any of their defenders capable in his system? Can not see Otamendi lasting long under Pep, has struggled this season, undersized for his position in the PL and not great on the ball.

He will have plenty of money to spend and his name will draw top players there, that is the fear.
wasn't that always the fear with city though? results have been somewhat indifferent so far. motivation will be the same old problem for them; too many players will be inclined to see a big fat contract and the chance to work with guardiola as a prize in itself.
