Saw a few youth games before that, including the leeds final where I remember a pocket of their fans disgusting even my child brain

if MOE / grandaders are programme hoarders the 56/57 youth final vs west ham programme goes for £300 on ebay
My first league game was Premier League too.

Used to love membership applying. Had a proper letter with all Ps & Qs. Coming home from school and seeing the sae on the side. Did so well as a member too as I went on my tod.

Stood on the Stretty with me dad and 2 brothers. Huge riot outside after the game, must have been terrifying for my dad because he was there with his 3 young sons

for me as a 6-year-old lad it was £#%&!ing ace.

Got started early. Think about five years old. Loftus Road and a 1-1 draw with Phelan scoring for United. An unspectacular start

Forest 1 - 8 Man Utd.

Friends were/are Forest season ticket holders. They went on holiday and gave us their tickets.

Loved it. Best club side/performance I've seen in real life.

It's easy to forget how different that team was to what had come before it in the English top divisions, particularly if you grew up in an era of Liverpool winning the league 1-0 with a goal from Ian Rush and a back passing to the goalkeeper performance that was just the done thing at the time.

Fullbacks that were as advanced and as attack minded as the wingers, ridiculously fast counter attacks started by the goal keeper and two strikers in Yorke/Cole that were almost literally on fire, exciting to watch.

Growing up in Notts all my friends are Forest so they've always taken the piss out of my supporting a 4th division team (as we were in the 80's). So sitting in their end watching their boys get absolutely bitch slapped remains one of my favourite football moments.

First I clearly remember was vs Liverpool at home the day after Kennedy's assassination. Harry Gregg bust his collarbone and the mad bastard defied Busby and ran back on the pitch and played on the wing with his arm in a sling. That was the game Bestie pushed the dirty £#%&!er Yeats over for pulling him back when he was clean thru.

Went to a few before this as a nipper but can't remember. Me and the old fella.

Lord knows - around 1976 and Lou Macari was my favourite player.

Coppell. Pearson. Greenhoff. Macari. Hill. Jordan.

What men

Incidentally my Dad used to take me to see United one week, City the next. It was always going to be United for me though, even though the first trophy win I remember is City v Newcastle and Dennis Tueart's overhead goal.
