ESL would be a classic case of the cure being worse than the disease, though.

I hate what uefa have done but esl was worse.

I wish loads of clubs broke away and had a proper european cup (top x per league), proper cup winners cup (cup winners per league), and proper uefa cup (below top x in league.)

Dunno how they are going to catch everyone off guard like they did last time, though. And of course fans can put pressure on those clubs to formally withdraw like they "promised".
