Well spotted. Similar reason McT doesn't get in Brazil's midfield.

Looks like we'll see what happens without Bruno, given he's suspended for the next game.

How difficult is it to find a midfielder who is comfortable on the ball, can play short passes to get the team out of tight situations?

Fellaini
Herrera
Blind
Schneiderlin
Schweinsteiger
Pogba
Matic
Fred
Van De Beek

Best part of £300m trying.

That we're even having this discussion about Fred shows how utterly shit our midfield is.

I can remember complaining about Fergie playing 4 cm's across the middle one game.

Phelan - Robson - Ince - Webb

4 England internationals and I was moaning, now we're asking if Fred is under-rated

As useless as Fred is, if our forwards had half his work rate we'd be a far better side.

He’s still shite but we have limited options in the midfield. Running all game hardly makes him a good midfielder.

I admire his attitude and effort, and his scurrying style is invaluable to the current crop of nonsense that we call our midfield, but he is shite.

Putting a shift in seems to be acceptable to some reds.

I doubt he’d be worth £10m.

We’re discussing whether a £10m player, who would do well to get in a relegation zone midfield, is good enough for United.

I think it’s more IF we had to pick from our current squad and nothing else you rather play the players with the correct mindset than the ones pissing up the clubs culture and environment .

The improvements come from signings .

More the opposite. Failure to put a shift in, regardless of talent, is unacceptable.
