Rooneys been my favourite player since he signed, and of course, there's some utter legends on the list, but I'm going for Ronaldo.Just for his sheer achievements, goal tally, skill and the fact that he's been recognised as the best player on the planet while a United player.
And for anyone that wants to deny Ruud being anything other than awesome for most of his time at United, have a word.I'm no fan of his behaviour in the last year of his career here or how he was begging Ronaldo to go to Madrid but as a goalscorer, he's the best I've ever seen.Imagine having a Ruud in his prime now?

Wayne Rooney.
 Joined in 2004 & during those 'bleak' years of 'The Invicibles' (  ) & the Abramovich/Mourinho years Rooney was an explosive, unplayable, edge of your seat revelation at United....scoring some of the best goals I've ever seen at Old Trafford. He formed a great playing relationship with Ronaldo (off the back of the 06 World Cup fall-out) & played a huge part in the 2007 League Title & FA/European Cup runs - stand out goals including Everton away, City home, Bolton home, Roma away & AC Milan at OT.  Since 2007 he's won a further 2 League Titles, a European Cup & World Club Title (scoring a great winning goal in the Final)   He has scored over 100 goals for the Club. He has the same desire & 'Terrace Hero' qualities of the 80s United lads like Whiteside & Robson...he's got the same 'team ethic' & 'aggression' of players from the Great 1994 & 99 sides. He's also capable of moments of genius & has lit up United since the day he arrived. He gives everything for United & will become Club Captain one day.

I just can't see past Ronaldo. From 2006 onwards it was like watching a tornado gathering force.
The best player in world at United for the first time since the days of Best, Charlton and Law. We'll not see his like at Old Trafford for maybe another 40 years, who knows. |

Ronaldo, in the last 3 seasons we have had a lot of success and Ronaldo won the best player in the world award.
