Not meaning to be a pedant here but UEFA did punish them. They found city universally guilty of breaking virtually every aspect of FFP. They banned them from all transfers and from European competition for two years. The court of arbitration for sport overturned it. That’s the central hub of corruption right there.

If Sancho is worth £80m then Grealish is worth £100m. Prices are stupid for most players so it's hard to get wound up by them. City spending big isn't our problem, our problem is wasting money on dross.

It'll be a shame if he goes there. He's exactly the type of player that thrives at Old Trafford and would have made a huge difference for us. Can't imagine Pep giving him the freedom he requires.

I like Grealish but not 100 million like

Still has a huge amount to prove including staying fit for most of the season

He plays on the LW or number 10. We already have rashford / bruno for that. I get you need squad players, but you dont want to spend 100 million on a player that doesnt have his position cemented. Like you said we spend poorly / not at all.

even with sancho, we should have said 70 mill, 5 with add-ons take it or leave it. Nobody else is in for him , there are other players out there, surely our scouts have a list of players.

we will spend another few days dragging it out, and then fizzle into the abyss of "considering a bid.... , looking at.... , monitoring the situation for player...."

we are run by clowns. some of our players are clowns. Take rashford for example, that shoulder needs the surgery. Southgate isnt even playing him, he could have had the surgery and focussed on his fitness.

He's a great player and would be a brilliant signing for us / Chelsea /Liverpool but I just don't see him fitting in well there.
