Did you get to see him live? I adored him as a kid. A magical player. Even with a busted leg he was better than pretty much anyone else.

once, when he turned up at old trafford with madrid

When he was at barcelona and Inter he was like a cheat mode. As if someone put messi and cristiano in the same body

Clapped him off… still think Barthez was at fault for the first but he was an obscene player.

Was he the best? He could have done so much more without his dodgy knee.

Personally think ZZ was better but in a different position obviously.

I've had a pint with George.

And Zidane was the best I've seen live, having seen both Ronaldos. Only Keano and Robbo could get near to running a match like Zizou.

Didn't see Brazilian Ronnie and too young to have seen Georgie boy play, so it's a toss up between Zizou and our Ron for me. Obviously different types of players: an armour plated Rolls Royce vs a tuned up Ferrari (ideally you'd want both in your garage). I'd say we'll never see their likes again, but considering there's 8 billion on the planet and the advent of sport's science, better diets, etc...
