Would’ve been 5+1 and about £200k I reckon. When did we buy him, 2019? So into his 4th year? 1 year left plus the option in the summer? Probably worth him getting out at that point, assuming we don’t take up the option or sort him a new deal

f***ing insane how we ended up here. Just look at these dopey @#%&!s who cost a fortune and got paid a fortune

A replica of the post-Busby; Steve James/Paul Edwards pair (who? 🙄 At least they were yoof and cost f*** all ) Enter Martin Buchan (Lisandro) for some sanity

Doubt if some skaus c*** could’ve orchestrated what Woodward/Glazers have done to this club under watchful eye of Ferie.

Thank f*** ww is gone and big Erik is here to sort it. Assuming he gets some backing.

Still defies belief how long that wombat-faced c*** kept ruining the club

Needs the captaincy taking off him with some excuse about letting him focus on his football etc.
That galls me even more than the transfer fee tbh. Making a new signing captain immediately is bad enough but when he's absolutely nowhere near good enough it just rubs it in. It's like having David Brent as your boss. 'Portuguese lot don't seem to respect you'.
What a mental episode. Sell him, asap, to anyone.

Not sure another hugely overrated Englishman with a massive head is what we need.

Rice isn’t overrated. He’s a top defensive midfielder who isn’t utilised properly by England/Southgate. Ten Hag would work wonders with him.

He’s going to be a CB soon imo.

Honestly don't think anyone would, he's just too slow for the modern game, looks like a player from the 70s. Championship at best type player, always thought that of him. Fair play, he's done well for himself considering....

Really impressive today.

Not his performance. The fact he managed to rack up a suspension despite never playing.

Could hear the fans getting on his case today when he wouldn't do anything progressive with the ball. He's just not that type of player is he. Quite happy to play it sideways and backwards but he doesn't have the confidence or the ability to play a positive pass forward to the attackers.

Which makes the narrative around him after the 2018 World Cup all the stranger.
