But on closer inspection it was signed by David Ruffin himself on the cover (and yes, I know he was a horrible fella)

Lovely original Motown inner bag, and the vinyl is really nice.

The album is in that Motown 68/71 sweet spot, James Jamersons bass is all over it, and still has that lovely tunefulness. Proper Sunday music.

But what a voice.

New Deja Vega single arrived yesterday. Local lads, doing ok for themselves. Seen them live a few times and they're decent if you're into Oasis, Kasabian etc. All a bit played out for me but like to support people, and might be worth a bit if they do make it. Definitely got some catchy tunes.

My parents sold a jazz album for 900 quid on discogs a couple of weeks ago, merry Christmas! (here's their account if you're interested https://www.discogs.com/seller/brend...mat_desc=Album)

Apologies for the awful pic quality, these were taken on a blackberry about 10 years ago. Went to the family home of an ex and her nan had kept hundreds of originals from the 60's/70's, assume they were worth a pretty penny.

I do that. Pre-ordered the Campfire Social EP for the same reason.

One I picked up before lockdown, been playing it this week whilst working from home. Got a really nice laid back feel to it. Just got to get over the idea of a bloke from Connahs Quay rapping. Well, not rapping but...

On a local label to me, Mai68. They put on good launch shows and local label nights when the world isn't f***ed. They've got a decent free sampler on Bandcamp too.

Nice sounds for stressy times

Sorry for the late reply, just seen that. Yes since they retired it has been. My dad's been selling records since the 70s but also worked as a teacher until retiring 10 years ago. He's got something like 40-50 thousand LPs in a great big hangar shed he rents from a farmer.

Just got three grails delivered. All unofficial releases, but originals go for stupid money. Gish sounds great.
