Very sentimental cup run for me. Old man passed away between the semi and the final. My last ever conversation with him was a phone call where we chatted about the semi replay.

Just keeping it light

Afaik still the only team to win it without playing a single tie at home.

I remember being out playing football and legging it back to watch the Newcastle match.

Got that video for Xmas 1990, must have watched it about 50 times between Christmas and May, then it was a recording of Rotterdam watched over and over until Blackburn 93.

Still not sure why that Forest goal was ruled out, what could have changed had that stood!!!

What a season that was. I'd just stopped working at OT and that cup run was immense.

remember passing out with booze and waking up on the Sunday morning not knowing what the result was

Another who did every game. Was a brilliant season. 1989/90 was one of the times of my life. United, music, drugs, clothes, girls, drugs, United.

I know I went to Newcastle because my mates have told me but I have no memory of it.

I remember it threatening to kick off in Failsworth after the semi between reds and Oldham fans. There was a stand off but instead of it going off, it just turned into a big piss up.
