That means we have statues of people who won the European Cup for us, not people who got FA Cup runners-up medals

You mean the 3 lads that won the balon d'or who won our first european trophy, the manager that survived an aircrash and carried on bringing success to the club? And the most successful manager in English football?

I can just see the organic fruit and veg statue now. Shearer outside the stadium of a team he clearly loves is fair enough imo, especially when you've got Michael Jackson outside a club he's probably still never heard of.
