Lvg start of the second year into his 3 year plan and it looks like we are only 3 players short(or 4 with a new goalie but sergi looks ok for now)

The kind of game we looked back on at the end of last season and said "If only"

This season: simple three points that will be appreciated later in the season. Performance is irrelevant at this point.

Like others have said, though, biggest positive is the quality in that midfield.

Defence and keeper look solid, and the full backs are looking immense. Midfield was strong too. I can't see us being bullied or out muscled by anybody. Depay will be amazing for us.

Then there's Rooney, who IMO should make a public apology for whatever that was.
The complete lack of speed and threat was quite worrying too. There's just no excitement whatsoever.
I'd also like to know what Schweini did to make everyone on here want to swallow his pipe?

Rooney was gash last night, but I love him, he can and will do the business for us. I don't think anyone shone last night, it was just a solid performance, no frills, very un Man U like, but we came away with 3 points.
