Shaw & Darmian are mint. Midfield is sorted.
Blind has been pretty spot on at CB which I'm still thinking is a short term fix but still well impressed. Smalling's positioninal sense snuffs out danger on his feet, no dirty shorts in the Utd defence. Bastian Schneiderlin's ability to munch up the ground & tackle / meet a player is incredible. |

The kind of game we looked back on at the end of last season and said "If only"
This season: simple three points that will be appreciated later in the season. Performance is irrelevant at this point. Like others have said, though, biggest positive is the quality in that midfield. |

Defence and keeper look solid, and the full backs are looking immense. Midfield was strong too. I can't see us being bullied or out muscled by anybody. Depay will be amazing for us.
Then there's Rooney, who IMO should make a public apology for whatever that was. The complete lack of speed and threat was quite worrying too. There's just no excitement whatsoever. I'd also like to know what Schweini did to make everyone on here want to swallow his pipe? |
