The whole league and football as a whole suffers from United being a mess. It devalues ‘the product’. Hardly a surprise if the #@&%!s are seeing a downturn in viewership and potentially sponsorship because United aren’t front and centre.

Said the similar to my brother earlier

Surely a successful United is good for tv company’s because of our global fan base.

Whilst you may be right, Sparky, the fact is we need the media on side in order to force a change.

My enemy's enemy is my friend etc. and Sky will be a huge ally in the supporter's fight against the Glazers, if they're on side.

The Super League showed how effective this could be. Sky Sports literally televised the protests that led to the Liverpool game being abandoned last year, and they had Neville and Carragher justifying the actions of fans when they invaded Old Trafford.

We are one game into the season, and we have arguably already heard more anti-Glazer rhetoric from the media than in any of the previous 15 seasons. Results will be key, of course, and if United continue losing games, the heat will continue to ramp up to the point where the atmosphere around the club becomes so toxic that ownership becomes untenable.

Seem to recall Scudamore saying something about a strong United being vital to the PL when he was in charge.

ESPN's senior writer Mark Ogden believes Manchester United cannot compete with other clubs while the Glazer family are the owners.

The share price is on the floor, interest rates rising quickly in the US.
The Glazers weren’t rich to start with.
Chelsea attracted several serious bidders.
The Superleague is in the long grass.
Having shafted their new manager they know they can expect more fan unrest.
Even the media have realised they are bad for football as a whole.
If not now when?

Thumbs up

Jeez. Sky are really going in!

If United lose at Brentford, then the lead-up to the Liverpool game will be intense.

Until the grounds empty, nothing.

Then what they will do is agree to look for a buyer to sell the place and take years to do it. Hoping minecraft head magically leads us to glory

One of skys transfer itk’s () but not sure who he supports

Usually talks %@#$&!s but he’s nailed this obvs.

It does feel different…

One game in and they’re already getting pelters and with no ‘galactico’ signing looking likely to take the heat off this time. Unless things drastically improve things could and should get very heated.

She’s a dipper too

the ground needs to be empty, week in week out. albeit on a smaller scale, it worked for Blackpool not long ago.

Problem United have, is for everybody that does choose to stay away, there's invariably somebody else that will have their seat.

Reading on Twitter earlier in the week and Milan and Valencia have done similar too.

This is the problem and it will take years of mediocrity to change.

We've been terrible since 2013 and I bet they could still fill OT twice over.

TBF - you have to manually transfer your season ticket to the recipient if you don’t the seat remains empty - the problem is not many believe that others will do it

Don't forget the new t & cs introduced this year. If your ST isn't used for 50% of games you lose it...
