Playing him every game was the problem, he's too old for that. But used appropriately, there are still few better.

90 minutes. Played better under Ole than Jose imo.

Fortunately, it seems our manager agrees.

Provided we don't run him into the ground, he's a good option to have.

We need a 2.0 model this summer though.

He's a great fit for a Mourinho team...not so much for the style we seem to be moving towards.

Decent player but I just don't see him being the holding midfielder we need.

This, now he seems to have been revitalised.

Doing great at the moment but 2023 means a contract for another 3 seasons for a player who will be 32 before the start of next season
Seems a bit much that

I think complements Pogba and Fernandes nicely. If he didnt, a more in-form Fred or The Scottish Player would be there.

He's always been a smart player with a good mentality.

We just need to manage him properly and he can't be relied upon to play 40+ games a season.

A younger version of him should be a top priority this summer.

Perfect timing after that £#%&!ing backpass yesterday

Though in all seriousness has been pretty good since the restart. That aside.

i thought he was a beast when he first came here, he dropped off a little but then he has been so good recently. an absolute monster.

if we can get a couple of years out of him, and he is consistent with this form i think the midfield is sorted for now.
