Not captain material whatsoever.

Total absence of leaders in the squad, and Rooney got the armband by default.

Being English, in your late 20s, and close to a testimonial isn't enough to be captain of Manchester United, ffs.

Was about 15 mins left. Picks up the ball 30 yards out, shuffles forward, gets closed down, comes to a halt and just and takes a shot. A real half ass belter that would have trickled wide if by some miracle it got past the bodies in front.
It was a real I give up/CBA get the ball away from me moment.

No service from the midfield, crosses straight at the keeper and basically trying to create for himself. A forward shouldn't have to do all that. Look back at when we had wingers that produced - Rooney scored for fun.

Not his fault at the minute. Not when the rest of that team was so, so shite.

He's so £#%&!ing average it's painful. His best years are behind him, but a couple of decent signings to supply him and he'd be good for 20 goals.n

Forget captain, the worst player today was our vice-captain and he should be sold asap.

Your Pro-Glazer and Pro-Rooney stances really take the sheen off your otherwise excellent postings

Fletch is a great club man, he just can't play football any more, which isn't unusual among dead people. It'd be sad enough to see him be rubbish at another club, let alone United. Should be encouraged to retire for the sake of his dignity.

Its baffling, especially since he comes across as good coaching material.

Ideally we'd just have 2 or 3 players that were good enough to ensure Fletch can't get a game. Much as I like the bloke. The fact we haven't is ludicrous.

The fact the same problem has existed for over 5 years is even more ludicrous.

The Fletch should have been retired with that illness and the insurance claimed. beyond stupid for him and the club persisting. how can a person with impaired health possibly hope to compete at the highest level

Given injuries etc, the 3 players we really needed to click today failed spectacularly .....

Mata 6
Rooney 5
RvP 4

Hard to take.

True but we're hardly set up to get the best out of them. The midfield and wide players are worse than cancer.

The same sort of sloppy sentimental shite that gave us Moyes, I fear. Though I hope LvG has seen quite enough of him now
