Default Rooney at Derby

Dragging them towards relegation.

played/gd/points.
Derby
44 -21 43
Rotherham
42 -15 39
Sheff Wed
44 -21 39
Wycombe
44 -34 37

If he gets relegated he'll probably never manage again.

If you've played for United, you should be banned from management.

He started off well but I think he's experiencing the same as Roy did where he's just much better than the players he's managing and can't quite understand that.

It's an interesting watch.

Had a decent start there and "certain people" were suggesting he could manage us in future

Mental that he’s got a managers job so early tbh, would never have picked him as a future manager at any point. Got a bit of the Bobby Charlton’s about it, fail and become an ambassador/Pundit/Director at OT or Everton I reckon.

Which Ferguson era player has done the best in the management game then?

Strachan, surely?

Fair play. His Coventry side was decent too.

Is anyone surprised?

It’s Rooney. Brilliant player, but hardly charismatic and he can barely string a sentence together.

I would say he has a bit of charisma tbf, harder to disagree on the articulacy front though.

more international where you have the best anyway, not so successful at club level, which is the acid test imo

he was gifted a decent squad and set up...

cruyff - yes... barcelona weren't all that and in a bit of a mess when he took over... won them their first European Cup, so i'd agree with the former... he also set up stuff behind the scenes like the academy.
