We have a manager who has a proven track record of promoting youth, and the likes of Rashford, Greenwood, The Scottish Player and Henderson are all regular first-teamers.

It's obvious that at United, if you're good enough at youth level, and ready for the step up, you'll be promoted. We're not Chelsea or City, ffs.
I take it you agree then that VdB isn’t doing enough to merit a start then eh?

I think that’s plainly obvious to absolutely everyone tbh. Except Bunks.

Just when you think you couldn't hate this dancing little turd anymore, he outdoes himself once again.

He'll be gagging to stay so he can have his shit training ground bantz with Sancho and Rashford, and get his selfie with Ronaldo, all whilst picking up his £100k a week for doing nothing.

Him and his team of arseholes will probably already be thinking how they can leverage Ronaldo's 335 million Instagram followers to push the #JLingz brand. Can imagine Ronaldo trying to practice his set-pieces at Carrington, with this little runt distracting him in the background: "Ronnie can you give this one a Like bro?"

He's the antithesis of everything we want at the club, and we need Ole to be ruthless in freezing him out completely if he sticks around with the intention of leaving on a free for a juicy signing on bonus next summer.

furthermore, if your ‘path to the first team’ is being blocked by Jesse Lingard, maybe you’re just a bit shit? Worth thinking about imo.

Right , couldn’t get rid off him with one year left . Give him a new deal so he can £#%&!ing warm the bench. Nice to see the idiots that run the club haven’t changed.

Before anyone says I don’t buy the bullshit of getting more money. He is 28 , even a 4 year deal nobody would want to pay any more than what they would pay today. £#%&!ing idiots, got lucky he rejected it

I would say let him rot on the bench but he'll be doing that anyway, the £#%&!ing waster.

There must be some other form of humiliation or punishment for him to endure before he leaves Utd for the heady heights of West Ham/Newcastle/Everton?

Let him go, you stupid STUPID bastards.

This giving new deals to wasters is killing us. It’s incredibly short-sighted and we’re seeing the struggles trying to get rid of them.

If he doesn’t want to go, then fine, but tell him is chances are non-existent, he has no future and he won’t be offered a new deal.

The prospect of getting a bumper new deal for doing £#%&! all is probably the biggest reason we can’t shift them. If we actually told him he has no future, maybe he’d have actually left by now. Crazy thought.

We'll never have a better opportunity to get money for him than we had this summer.

Any kind of a fee and getting him off the books would've been better than keeping him on. Utter madness.

The club is an absolute joke. Lower the asking price, pay some of his wages rather than recover nothing and get zero benefit. Utter muppets.

He's not on ridiculous wages - £15m and off the wage bill completely should be easily achievable. Carabao Lingard.

Fair play to him, rejecting the contract is the most productive thing he's done for the club in since 2016.

Oooh book value

£#%&! off. Don’t give these lads squad numbers or register them so the onus is on them to find a club.

A lot of the blame has to be on the player, too. United can only do so much, as they got him a great loan, and made it clear he was available.

By all accounts, Lingard has stubbornly refused to go, and is happy to hang around the club like a fart in an elevator.

The fact he's now turning down a contract extension so he can leave for free next summer and trouser a huge signing on fee says all about him and what he thinks of United. That attitude is probably one of the reasons no clubs really came in for him all summer.
