That big slab isn’t do Shaw’s assists stats any favour. I’ve never known a player win so many headers from corners that does so little with them.

Vg2c.

He owes us several more solid seasons. Huge investment in the lad.

It took about 5 years but LvG was right in the end

He looks more robust and fitter. He really does cover a lot of ground and has got back to bursting past midfielders on the inside really well again. He’s used to do that in his early days. Crossing is improving too. Cutting more stuff back towards the penalty spot and not just smashing the ball into the shins of the first man. Still needs to improve on the overlap. Holds back too much, but big improvement and has responded well to Telles coming in.

Playing well at the moment and let’s hope it continues

Was only a few weeks ago though that he was still switching off at the back post and we conceded (city in the cup maybe?).

We need him to be consistently good and not a run of a few months good few months shit.

Fingers crossed the penny has finally dropped and I think the signing of Telles has given him the kick he needs.

Outstanding going forward in the first half and so solid defensively in the second. His fitness levels has improved so much and his delivery, especially cut backs in the box, is something he's added to his game.

MotM again for me

Did I hear right that he was injured at the end?

Would be typical of his and our luck.

He was excellent. Great going both ways, and links up with Rashford really well.

We are just going to have to accept this is the best he will ever been

He’s prone to defensive lapses but he’s got a hell of an engine on him, he’ll keep running, keep applying himself and generally offer an outlet out of the back

If we want more from that position we will either have to play Telles more often or sign another full back, but for Shaw is undroppable

Il give him a pass as he has been playing well recently and still was one of our best players today. Felt like lindelof kept salah onside. Haven’t seen the replay of the second but I’m sure cavani gave it away cheaply and maybe Henderson could have done better.

Bedwetters no longer able to fire after Ole and have to choose another target shocker

Shaw has been playing well and has been a vital component of the recent success

Been a critic of his but he’s playing really well and his link up play today was top draw. If he keeps doing that then maybe people will choose to ignore the defensive mistakes he makes like the one that led to their goal and their best scoring opportunity.
