Rangnick asks McKenna
What idiot hired you?
"running you say? Pressing the other team when they have the ball? Huh, we hadn't thought of that tbh"

He knows it won’t happen overnight and he’s got to meet them halfway.

Finding the balance between Meeting the needs of our fairly urgent league position and trying to impose his style is going to be a huge challenge.

Finding the balance between his style and our squads inability to run, despite having tiny bird brains.

Sounds like he knows the drugs take a while to kick in.

Sounds like a pragmatist which is very encouraging. Think LVG fell down because he imposed his rule regardless of whether the players could adapt to it or not.

Some of the initial reactions on the training pitch probably weren't a million miles from this....

Liked his use of "chapeau" - what a Weltmann he is.

He could be our Klopp without the OTT theatrics.

I agree. Like his understated nature. Maturity.

I like him. I like him a lot.

Early early days but he seems to have confidence without it going into arrogance.

Be interesting to see what happens when some tough calls need to be made.

Rangnick said after the game, as per Metro.

"Both Scotty and Fred are almost perfect defensively on that. They did one or two or three mistakes, especially in the first half there were two square passes – one from Scott, one from Fred.

"I don't like those kinds of balls in midfield in those positions. But overall, when the other team is in possession of the ball, both Fred and Scotty, they are almost perfect for that kind of football."

Manager obviously sees limitations
When fred and Scott are in possession
But out of possession they are almost perfect.

No more square and back passes
Boys

Who dat?

He’s so bloody easy to like, isn’t he?

Not some cold drip like Jose, but has standards and will call out stuff he doesn’t want to see.

Doesn’t like sideways passes….. banderas gif.

it's very refreshing to have a boss who undestands the game, will analysis it, spot the flaws and plan to correct, rather just spout some cliched ole shite and carrry on with a hapless approach.
