How long is the manager going to persist with this failed transfer.

It's a decent idea to actually have attackers in the side who create and score goals. 1 goal and 2 assists during the past 12 months in the league.

Maybe we should have kept Dan James if we wanted an unproductive winger who is nowhere near the standard required. At least he'd have fit more into the manager's wish to be a transition side.

He is one of the main reasons we are so shit.

With us having a young raw striker , the least we can do to balance it is have seasoned and reliable wide forwards to make up.

Instead we have the inconsistent rashford and the unproductive Antony.
add hero ball Bruno to that and you have a team that won’t make the ball stick and won’t punish you anyway.

ETH and his transitional side.

Why doesn't he play on the left where he can use his pace to beat the full back and cross the ball? It can't simply because we don't have anyone capable of heading the ball.

He crossed it perfectly for rashford last night who cut it across for Rasmus....

He was a studs length away from scoring ...

It's just so odd. If Rashford had have finished that chance he pulled wide and Hoijland had have gotten his toe to the ball, Antony would be getting rightful credit for his role in the build up, and there's no question we look more balanced with him in the team, but he absolutely, positively refuses to take the best option when he's given acres outside. I get that cutting in gives both the option for a shot or a pass, whereas going outside you lose the shooting option, but £#%&! me, sooner or later the first option has to produce something.

He's an extremely frustrating player who is currently not performing his primary role in the team.

There are countless examples of him slowing play down or us being less direct because he always always has to stop to cut back onto his left. He’s a quick player when running with the ball but then he kills all the momentum because he’s such a fanny about using his right. And he simply will never play a first pass or take a shot with his right in the moments that he should.

It’s like we’ve bought half a player.

He's a white Ryan Babbel. All he does is cut inside and when defenders figure it out he has nothing else to offer.

A truly awful signing and probably only second to Pogba as our worst ever.

If that stat is true re a couple of goals and assists in the league over a 12-month period, then blimey. He's 24 in Feb, he is not exactly in the young player basket.

I'm not seeing the makings of a quality footballer there.

It would all be forgiveable if the fee matched his level. He'd make a decent squad player at around his value (£15m).

£80m+ was ludicrous. That should get you a guaranteed worldi.

Hoijlund must be thinking wtf have I done here - both left and right wings are delivering next to nothing for him and then Bruno, a supposed master creator looks like he’s going to break down in tears every two minutes.

Am dreading Sunday.

One of the best footballers at the club; plays with flair, desire, skill and passion. When those efforts start going in, he’ll gain the fairweather fans’ loyalty.

Think he’ll do a madness on Sunday.

Personally i think ETH keep signing the wrong players.

After signing antony for the opposing wing to rashford you don’t sign a striker that plays off the shoulder of the last defender looking for service into the box.
You sign a striker that wants to do it all himself , a chaos striker.
Rashford and Antony both play as inverted wingers because they just want to move infield and shoot.
funnily enough the one winger we have that is more of a provider , the manager has banned from the first team.

Back to Anthony. He is shit. You can just tell. 80m and you can’t see any room for growth.

But yeah new owners please so the purchaser of the white elephant can buy more

It's the notion that "inverted wingers" ie a left footed winger cutting in from the right is attacking the left back on his weaker right foot.

Don't think it works. Can you imagine of Fergie had played Giggs on the right and Beckham on the left all the time?
