We shouldn’t be accepting buy back clauses etc. We should be able to sort a deal out though.
£25m on an attack minded left-back definitely fits Spurs' profile for this window.

He’s Spain’s 3rd choice (at best) LB, who will jump ship back to Madrid at the earliest opportunity. Yeah, gutted tbf. Nobody had heard of the @#%&! 3 weeks ago.
When he strolled down our right hand side and set up the equaliser in the Europa League? Yeah alright pal

You’re right though, don’t know why we even bothered trying to sign him tbf.

Ah well...

Who’s the next player we’ll be linked heavily with, in intense discussions for only for them to join some other club or stay where they are..?
I don't think it is. Utd are right, we shouldn't be signing players with the buy back clauses. Maybe they might just throw all the money at the Sancho deal now.

Poor bastard. Shite deal all round.

Mourninho will destroy him, Madrid wont want him back after he's had the life sucked out of him by that emotional blackhole, and he'll end up having to rebuild his career at a mid table La Liga club in a few years time.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him turning out for Ipswich in a few years.

But they aren't, are they?

Transfers can make people think weird things.

As long as Utd bring in another 1-2 of the right players that's all that matters.

Every single player who signs for a Premier League club 'rejected' United.

I didn't think this Summer window could be any worse than last year's. I'm impressed with Ed and Judge, not long left and they've done a sterling effort. How many players linked to United now and gone elsewhere? But it's all about the social media hits innit....

Spend the money on the Monaco lad instead.

There won't be anyone else arriving. Priorities appeared to be CB, LB and RW first then a striker. But in drops a new light weight midfielder. Yeah alright then.

If United are still relying on the likes of Lingard, Pereira, Mata, Rojo et al this season is going to be grim. Several in that friendly vs Villa couldn't even make a simple pass into feet. We have continually failed with them in the squad the fact they're still here sums the ownership up and the direction they want to go in.

We shouldn't be agreeing to that, so walk away if need be.

Acting desperate and bending over for clubs has been one of the worst aspects of the last few years.

It had to stop and we had to start getting players who want to be here. Not players who want the safety blanket of jumping back to their old club of they don't like lt.

It's all part of the culture change that Ole talks about.

If we miss out on players, then these are the breaks.

It's no different to what we did in the 90s.

If Real are insisting on a buy back clause, then we should walk. Simple as that.

Can’t see how anyone can have a go at Utd over this
No way should we accept a buyback clause (same reason not to sign Haaland with a release clause)

If the player really wants to come and stay long term then he can demand Madrid drop the buy back clause

The issue would be if Utd feel they need an attacking left back then what is the alternative to Reguilon
I’ve heard reports of Telles from Porto

Telles is atrocious defensively from the little I've seen. A young LB from Kiev linked the other week, no idea whether there was anything in it.

As mentioned elsewhere Shaw's fitness is a huge concern and Williams is still young (with the bonus of being able to play from the right too) so a LB is needed. But left it too late it seems.

agree....consenting to a buy back clause is foolish so if Real insist on that then either you make it a loan deal with a small fee or you walk away
